8th Grade Club Walk - May. 5th
8th graders from our three district middle schools came up to the high school for an orientation day. Hudson, Janzen, Kevin, and James represented the club well. By the time the night was through, the star wars music was played, the nerd shirts were compared, favorite avengers quotes were shared, a hearty argument over who would win Batman v. Superman, people examining the polyhedral dice suspiciously, we were able to spark the interest of 18 new potential member! A big thanks to our officers for showing up and representing us well.

Mystery Cube Draft - Magic the Gathering - Feb. 27th
|
Eagle Gaming club got together for another cube draft, this time with mystery cards that no one was familiar with. We were expecting 8 to 15 competitors to show up and instead we got a total of 20 players instead! By far this has been our biggest showing! The mystery cards seemed to be the great equalizer! Magic Titans and frequent winners like Janzen and Hudson, our officers, didn't stand a chance against the decks the newcomers made. We had a whole new set of winners for our top 5 this time which was great to see. Sorry Janzen, sorry Hudson, better luck next time! A special thanks to Mr. Lynch for setting up the cube and donating the use of his cards. Another big thanks to Changing Hands for the prizes. And a big thank you to all of those who showed up to compete for the first time, it was great to see all the new faces!

Eagle Gaming got into the Christmas spirit this year and donated a tri-cycle to the Toys for Tots campaign. Every JHS club had the opportunity to donate, and the club Presidents will be presenting our bicycles, tricycles, etc. to the local fire department on Thursday to later be given as toys for children in need.
